509 Show Circuit is a non-profit organization rewarding youth for who they are in and out of the showmanship ring. 509 intends to be a unique resource for livestock shows, local breeders, businesses, and youth in the PNW as we work together.
509 Show Circuit rewards youth for their competitiveness in and out of the showmanship ring, along with positively promoting youth in agriculture. Some people say we are in the business of raising livestock; we prefer to say we are just raising good kids.
509 Show Circuit highlights those who put forth extra effort beyond the show ring. Success in the show ring is an important element the 509 showcases and encourages. However, skills learned inside the ring and the barn: respect, hard work, tenacity, and others, are critical skills to be utilized throughout life. The 509 offers cash awards and scholarships to reward members who are positive role models, give back to their community, work hard in their other extra curricular activities, and have plans to achieve higher education. These young, agricultural enthusiasts are the future of our industry.

In January 2017, while finishing her senior year of college at Oklahoma State, Alyx Hanson brought up the idea of a "show circuit" in the PNW during dinner one night. Yet she didn't know where to start. After tossing around several ideas, JD Rosman was quick to jump on board and help launch the organization. Within a day, there were logos and social media platforms created. The rest is history.
Since the first year of the 509, the organization has become a 501(c)3 Non-Profit Organization and is under a board of directors. The 509 continues to see growth and interest year after year. We have more than 200 members and several wonderful sponsors.
